One of Ridgewood’s most beloved Halloween traditions is the Ridgewood Halloween Maze, a handcrafted maze located in the backyard at 124 Sheridan Terrace.

The maze has been entertaining and challenging Ridgewood families for years. The labyrinth features twists, dead ends, traps, mechanical creatures, and plenty of spooky surprises. After dark, the experience gets even scarier.

The Maze is free, making it one of the best budget-friendly Halloween activities in Ridgewood.

According to current 2026 event listings, the Maze is open throughout October through Halloween. Because weather can affect the experience, it’s smart to check the event information before heading over.

Local tip: If you have younger children, consider going earlier in the day. If your kids want the full spooky experience, visit after dark!

Ridgewood Halloween House

Another Ridgewood Halloween favorite is the Ridgewood Halloween House at 294 West End Avenue.

The property is known for an elaborate Halloween display featuring impressive decorations, inflatables, and plenty of spooky details. The 2026 listings confirm a theme of skellys vs zombies:

  • Additional dates may be announced as Halloween approaches.

There is no admission fee and no ticket is required, although the display is weather dependent.
