Graduation Ceremony Highlights – Ridgewood’s Unique Tradition
The Ridgewood High School graduation ceremony is a momentous event. Our unique tradition is that the boys wear white tuxes and the girls wear white gowns. Graduates exit the high school in pairs, holding red roses, as loved ones watch the procession to the football field. After the graduation, students attend a dinner dance where they will enjoy a meal and live music.

Then, the evening concludes in the multi-generational tradition of students being dropped off at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, where the surprise theme of the year is revealed. Each year, parents begin planning months in advance. Volunteers transform the space with structures and lighting. It’s a spectacular event that makes Ridgewood special!
