Ridgewood Pedestrian Plaza

Our gorgeous downtown will be even more accessible this summer with the return of the PEDESTRIAN PLAZA! Each Saturday and Sunday from June 3rd – October 9th, East Ridgewood Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from Walnut Street to Broad Street. Visitors can enjoy outdoor dining, space to walk and shop, and even live music on Saturday nights in Van Neste Square’s Memorial Park!

SUMMER PERFORMANCES AT KASSCHAU MEMORIAL SHELL

Kasschau Shell Concerts

Celebrating its 65th (!!!) anniversary, the Kasschau Memorial Shell at Veterans Park (right behind the library) plays live music during the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bring a chair, blanket, and snacks and come ready to rock under the stars. The first concert is tonight! June 1st!

Graydon Pool, our beloved man-made lake with a beachfront setting has all the fun and relaxation that comes with a day at the beach – WITHOUT the long drive. An oasis right in the middle of town? The Saddle River County Wild Duck Pond is the beginning of a shaded bike and running trail, plus there is a fabulous playground, dog park, and walking loop to watch the ducks in this newly refurbished county park.

Glen Rock Arboretum

Glen Rock has a shaded, fenced playground that is right next to an arboretum. This is a fabulous place to explore on a hot day – especially if you are a Glen Rock resident, since the town pool is right there too!

RIDGEWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY

Ridgewood Public Library

The Ridgewood Public Library is one of the best in Bergen County. It has countless events for all ages – especially popular are the children’s story times, crafting classes, and volunteer opportunities for older kids. There are also movie showings, speakers, and museum passes available.
